GET INVOLVED

Are you a farmer?

Here is what you can do:

  • Events
You can get involved by hosting your own event during Nature Friendly Farming Week.
    - Open your farm to the public and offer a firsthand look at how nature-friendly farming works through a guided walk, a farm tour, or a hands-on activity. This will help visitors understand the vital role farmers play beyond food production.
    - Or why not host a screening of Six Inches of Soil? This inspiring documentary follows young British farmers challenging the industrial food system by adopting regenerative practices. You can find more guidance on how to host a screening here. What’s more, NFFN members can get 30% off the licensing fee. Email us at info@nffn.org.uk.

  • Social media
You can also help us spread the word! Show your support on social media by liking, sharing and commenting on our posts on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn & Bluesky.

While Nature-Friendly Farming Week runs from 18–24 May, we know this is a busy time of year for many farmers. If those dates don’t work, you’re very welcome to hold your activity at another time that suits you. In fact, some farms may prefer to take part during Great Big Green Week from 6-13 June, when many communities are already celebrating climate and nature action. Open Farm Sunday also falls within this week, offering another great opportunity to welcome people onto your farm and showcase nature-friendly farming.

Whatever date works best, make sure to keep us posted via social media or by emailing info@nffn.org.uk so we can help spread the word.

Are you a member of the public?

Here is what you can do to help:

  • Find your local farm shop
Look out for a local farm shop near you and maybe ask how their food is produced and whether it’s farmed in a nature-friendly way. Or simply show your support to a local farmer online.

  • Social media
You can also help us spread the word! Show your support on social media by liking, sharing and commenting on our posts on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn & Bluesky.

  • Events & webinar
    - Join our webinar during NFF Week, where farmers will share their inspiring stories about working with nature and what this means for our food, wildlife, and climate. More details to follow.
    - Explore events happening near you and experience nature-friendly farming firsthand. Find out if any local farms are participating and opening their gates. We’ll tag them on our socials, so stay tuned!
    - Or why not host a screening of Six Inches of Soil? This inspiring documentary follows young British farmers challenging the industrial food system by adopting regenerative practices. You can find more guidance on how to host a screening here. What’s more, the first 50 NFFN members who contact us can get 30% off the licensing fee. Email us at info@nffn.org.uk.
