Sign up for the RSPB’s discounted bird survey and boost your agri-environment scheme prospects.
Farmers can now sign up for discounted bird surveys on their land, thanks to the RSPB.
The conservation charity is offering a limited number of farmland bird surveys at a reduced rate of £150 plus VAT – a contribution toward the project’s running costs. The rest of the cost is covered by the RSPB.
Participating farmers across the UK will be matched with a local volunteer who will carry out the survey and collect data on the species and numbers present. The results will be compiled into a report tailored to your land, including links to advice and case studies to help you go further in supporting biodiversity.
The resulting report can also be used to support your agri-environment scheme applications.
Spaces are limited. If you're interested, the deadline to register is Friday 17 October. You can find out more about the surveys here and sign up to take part here.
Please note: surveys may not be available in remote upland areas due to a shortage of nearby volunteers. If a volunteer isn’t available in 2026, your farm will be prioritised for 2027.
