Connie Hunter, along with her partner Tom, co-founded East Neuk Market Garden in 2018. Located on the Balcaskie Estate in Fife, their 4-acre agroecological farm grows a diverse range of produce. Connie’s journey into sustainable agriculture began after relocating from London and working on organic farms across Europe. Their mission is to produce fresh, local food while regenerating the local ecosystem.
Abi Mordin is a founding member of Propagate and runs Hidden Veg, a market garden in Dumfries and Galloway. Involved in community food projects since the mid-1990s, Abi brings decades of experience as a grower, educator, and facilitator. Through Hidden Veg, she supports local food systems using inclusive, agroecological approaches that promote food sovereignty and resilience.
Hayley Shepherd and partner Finlay Keiller, founded Seeds of Scotland in 2023. Based north of Inverness, this seed company focuses on cultivating open-pollinated seeds suited to Scotland's climate. Their commitment to organic farming and heritage varieties reflects a dedication to biodiversity and sustainability.
