Amy Chapple
Amy did an internship at a regenerative farm in Hertfordshire after college before returning home to Redwoods Farm in Devon. She now farms pigs, laying hens and a small herd of cattle alongside her parents' sheep, cattle and broiler chickens.
The farm has changed dramatically over the last 7 years, moving away from lambing and finishing cattle inside, to entirely pasture-based systems as well as the introduction of pigs and poultry which are both pastured-raised and soy-free. Now, nature is a huge part of all decisions made, such as planting hedges and trees, mob grazing longer covers and local sourcing of pig and poultry feed.
Amy has also introduced direct sales to the farm, delivering to her local community and hosting open farm days. She also works with a number of farm shops, restaurants and online retailers to improve the accessibility of nature-friendly produce.
