Penny Hill Farm
Penny Hill farm is in an amazing part of the Lake District that is loved by millions – not least because of the iconic Herdwick sheep, a really special part of this particular place. Indeed, the area is so special that, last year, the Lake District became a World Heritage Site as a Cultural Landscape – in no small part due to the way in which people have interacted with and been influenced by the landscape over hundreds of years. Farming has been one of the key parts of that and we will work to make sure that it continues.
Penny Hill is a well-maintained traditional Lakeland fell farm extending to approximately 72 hectares (178 acres), including a 4/5 bedroom farmhouse, a 2 bedroom holiday cottage and a range of modern and traditional farm buildings.
The farm includes a landlord’s Herdwick flock.
This is a great opportunity for a pro-active tenant to work in partnership to develop a successful business based on high quality livestock, habitat & landscape management.
The farm is being offered on a 15 year, 6 months Farm Business Tenancy.
