FABulous Farmers Learning network session – Norfolk
The aim of the event is to introduce the concept of farming to improve functional agro- biodiversity (FAB) with a focus on one key practice identified by attendees at an initial meeting as being of interest, namely cover crops within primarily arable rotations.
There is an opportunity to set up a group, supported by the FABulous Farmers Programme (funded by Interreg) to look at how best to achieve greater functional agro – biodiversity on farm, whilst maintaining farm profitability. Activities the group could decide to carry out include on farm testing of the various FAB practices, regular discussion sessions and benchmarking to measure the impact of adopting FAB practices.
