Arable Plant Management Workshop – Worcs
Find out about arable plants in Worcestershire and how farmland can be managed for them.
Arable plants are the fastest declining group of plants in the countryside, but they can have enormous benefits for farmland wildlife. This afternoon workshop focuses on how to identify some of the plants and what management can be put in place. There will be a walk around Lower Smite Farm to see the rare, and common, arable plants, and to discuss management and strategies for dealing with weeds that may become problems.
This workshop is for farmers, land managers, farm contractors, farm advisers and agronomists.
This event is being run as part of the Back from the Brink partnership by Plantlife in collaboration with Worcestershire Wildlife Trust / Wild Pollinator Facilitation Fund and the Game and Wildlife Conservation Trust.
