Arable Plant ID and Management Workshop – Devon

Find out about arable plants in Devon and how farmland can be managed for them.
Arable plants are the fastest declining group of plants in the countryside, but they can have enormous benefits for farmland wildlife. This afternoon workshop focuses on how to identify some of the plants and what management can be put in place. There will be a walk around South Down Farm to see the rare, and common, arable plants,and to discuss management and strategies for dealing with weeds that may become problems.
This workshop is for farmers, land managers,farm contractors, farm advisers and agronomists and will be run by by Dr Phil Wilson and Pete Thompson from the Game and Wildlife Conservation Trust.
